Program Manager, International Region
As a Program Manager of an International Region, Shubha has the pleasure of working with Global G.L.O.W. partners around the world, as well as organizing the data that comes back from the field. Many girls have expressed that G.L.O.W. clubs have made them feel like they can achieve what they never thought they could, even with the hardships they’ve faced in life, and that makes Shubha feel so lucky every day to be a part of this mission.
While getting her degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Shubha was able to volunteer and work with many nonprofits. After graduating, she focused her sights on non-profit program management. She found the Institute of International Education where she worked on the administration of the Fulbright Scholarship on both the international and U.S. side. This expanded her worldview and made her realize her passion for nonprofits with a focus on education.
The bravest woman Shubha knows is her mom who she’s seen work hard through all of the obstacles that have blocked her in life. She learned from her that nothing can stand in your way because you are stronger than all of it. Her mom’s dream has always been to start a school for girls in an impoverished village in India. Shubha looks forward to using what she learns from Global G.L.O.W.’s approach to international outreach to make that dream a reality.
When she is not working, she enjoys playing tennis, swimming, and seeing her dog ridiculously happy after a long hike.
