Gloria Joseph
Gloria Joseph is a New Yorker whose mission it is to help promote girls and women as peacemakers. Her activism through the Nobel Women’s Initiative allows Gloria to observe the women who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize respond to invitations from around the world to come and help open doors for local women to gain access to the halls of power. Recently, Gloria began to get involved with Pregnancy Justice, a New York City-based national organization that looks at the legal ramifications of reproductive justice. Her thought was that if young women are increasingly under fire when they become pregnant due to the post-Dodds implications, then they will not be able to mature into their roles as peacemakers. Additionally, she’s involved with Women Moving Millions, and Search For Common for 20 years and currently sits on the presidential leadership council. Gloria’s focus in her philanthropy is on girls and women, specifically on their education and civic involvement.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University Bloomington and a master of fine arts degree from New School University in Greenwich Village. Gloria spent her career as a broadcast journalist, a college professor, and as a real estate sales associate at Sotheby‘s International Realty.
