Understanding the pathways to menstrual health knowledge and empowerment in Huanchaco, Peru

In Huanchaco, Peru, harmful gender ideas and practices often prohibit comprehensive menstrual and sexual health education. Independent research conducted by Amelia Van Komen from the University of Sheffield found that in this community, GLOW Club is the most impactful source of menstrual health learning for girls, offering a safe place to ask questions to peers and trusted adults.
