Nandini Sankara

Nandini Sankara serves as the Vice President, Marketing and Brand Strategy, and Spokesperson of Suburban Propane Partners, L.P., a nationwide distributor of propane, fuel oil and related products and services, as well as a marketer of renewable natural gas and electricity, and investor in low-carbon fuel alternatives. Suburban Propane is a New York Stock Exchange listed limited partnership (ticker: SPH) headquartered in Whippany, NJ.

She is the first female person of color Officer and Vice President at Suburban Propane. In April 2023, Nandini became a Member of the Board of the Northern NJ Chapter of the American Red Cross and also represents the company at the American Red Cross Tiffany Circle.

Nandini is a passionate advocate for sustainability and a driving force for modernizing brands with leading technologies. She joined Suburban Propane in 2017 as the Associate Vice President, Marketing and Brand Strategy. In her tenure with the company, she has re-imagined their Digital & Social Strategy, Media Relations, Market Research, and spearheaded a complete brand refresh. She was also instrumental in launching Suburban Renewable Energy, LLC, the Company’s renewable-energy platform.

Nandini graduated from the University of Bridgeport earning her MBA in Management Information Services (MIS) and Marketing and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Mumbai, India. She represented the University of Bridgeport in Division II Women’s Soccer. Nandini was honored by Women in LPG (WINLPG) in 2021 as a runner up for Woman of the Year and named as a Role Model by WINLPG in 2022. She was also inducted into CHIEF, the only private membership network focused on connecting and supporting women executive leaders. She as an active member of ClubCMO.

She has been a featured speaker on Renewables and Empowering women at the WLPGA Annual Summits, Millennium Alliance CMO Summit, on AI at the Clarity, Claritas convention, and on philanthropy at multiple American Red Cross and local philanthropy events nationwide. She is a keen world traveler, having visited over 60 countries and 6 continents and speaks four global languages.
