4 Ways You Can Champion a Girl to Change the World

Child marriage. Poverty. Lack of access to education and proper healthcare. Girls in the United States and around the world continue to face barriers every day that keep them from thriving and becoming the leaders and change makers of tomorrow. At Global G.L.O.W., we empower girls to advocate for themselves and use their voices to create the change they want to see in their community. Through our after-school programming in 27 countries around the world, we mentor girls one-on-one on life skills (think technology and financial literacy), well-being (physical, mental and social), education (school attendance and readiness), community impact (community action planning and issue advocacy) and the confidence they need to advocate for themselves and make an impact.

Now more than ever, girls need our help. But it’s not just girls — research shows that when girls are educated, safe, healthy and confident, they can transform their lives, their communities and our shared world.

Become a Mentor
Currently, we are in need of mentors to join our HerStory programming in the Southern California area. The primary task of mentors is to build community and trust among program participants, and help facilitate friendship, emotional safety and trust for the teens participating in the program.
