Chief Storyteller

Samantha is an international multimedia storyteller with years of experience developing the communications strategies of girl-centered, community-driven NGOs in East Africa. In her role as Chief Storyteller, Samantha has the incredible privilege of learning from GLOW Girls across the world and amplifying their voices to create transformative social change.

Samantha’s career has allowed her to share the stories of young women in rural Tanzania becoming the first in their families to complete secondary school, and community volunteers in Uganda helping children overcome the COVID-19 education crisis. The change-makers she learned from along the way taught her the true meaning of resilience, and she strives to carry that spirit with her everyday in her efforts to advance gender equity.

Samantha received her MA in Online Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and was the recipient of a Fulbright Award and Princeton in Africa Fellowship. Her most cherished professional experiences have been long hikes through Orkeeswa Village in Tanzania to share stories and warm cups of chai with some of the bravest women she knows.
